About Me



My name is H.C.Wong.

 I am a semi-retired logistics professional who possessed more than 27 years experience in logistics, trade administration, shipping, customer service and warehousing in the manufacturing sector. After my years of experience and exposures in this line, I had decided to put down whatever I had learned and experienced in writing and providing training to benefit others who are also in the same field.

 My academic credentials includes an MBA in Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM), a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the Nottingham University and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). 

 I am a professionally Certified Trainer (Human Resource Development Fund-HRDF), a Certified Supply Chain Security Specialist (Academy for Security, Intelligence & Risk Studies-ASIRS, formerly known as Chartered International Institute of Security & Crisis Management-CIISCM) and had obtained the Customs Agency Certification (Royal Malaysian Customs Academy-AKMAL) as well as being a Certified Coordinator for the Transported Assets Protection Association (TAPA Asia).

Various Basic Shipping Charges on Landside and Waterside

Landside Stevedoring - cargo handling charges for loading / discharging cargo on / from conventional breakbulk vessels. LCL Service Charge - charge for stuffing and unstuffing LCL (Less than Container Load) cargo into or from a container at the freight station. Equipment Transfer Charge (ETC) - charge for lifting an empty or loaded container onto / from the trailer. Also called Lift-on / Lift-off (LOLO) charge.
